SYNOPSIS
After the Summer Solstice Fire Festival in the Pyrenees was recognized as
Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, the inhabitants of the small villages of
the Aragonese Pyrenees where this ancient celebration takes place face the challenge of
growing popularity and the arrival of thousands of tourists. This influx threatens to alter not
only the essence of the festival but also the way people relate to one another within their
community and with nature.
